Write the letter if the patient asks for one

Assess whether the request is clinically supported. The letter should be based on a diagnosed condition that substantially limits a major life activity and documented therapeutic benefit of the ESA. Do not provide without adequate evaluation

Refuse all ESA letters as they are outside the PMHNP's scope

Provide the letter for any patient who has a psychiatric diagnosis
